Recipe Details:

Ingredients:
4 ripe tomatoes, cut in half and sliced thin lengthwise
1/2 onion, cut in half and slivered lengthwise
1 cup green beans, blanched and cut in quarters

(Dressing)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons Mirin (Japanese sweet cooking wine)

Directions:
1. Soak onions in cold water, changing water occasionally until spiciness is removed (it will take a couple of hours). If you prefer the spiciness, skip this step.
2. Lay tomatoes neatly in a circle. Top with green beans and onions. Drizzle with dressing.

Notes:
-Onions can be any type. I normally just use yellow onions.
-For something with a bit of a Japanese twist, Try topping salad with shredded Shiso (perilla, or Japanese equivalent of basil).
