Recipe Details:

Hanky Pankies

1 pound ground beef(lean)
1 pound of hot sausage
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1-2 tsp. oregano(optional)
1-3 tsp. red pepper flakes(optional)
1 pound Velveeta Cheese, cut in pieces
Party rye(2 loaves)

Brown beef and sausage with garlic powder, red pepper flakes and oregano. Add chunks of cheese, stiring to melt. If there is alot of grease, I would drain off the grease or absorb with a paper towel. To serve: Keep warm in a chafing dish and let guests spread on rye rounds OR Make ahead and freeze by spreading slightly cooled Hanky Panky on party rye lining a cookie sheet. Freeze and store in freezer ziploc bags(gallon size). To serve, bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes.
