Recipe Details:

Note: This is a mild salsa.

4 medium-sized tomatoes (I use the vine-ripened ones), cored, seeded and chopped
1 minced jalapeno, seeds and ribs removed (unless you want it spicy, then add it)
1 cup chopped white onion (about 1/2 of a medium onion)
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
1/4 tsp salt
Fresh ground pepper

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Let stand for 15 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips or as a condiment.

Makes about 2 cups.
